Singapore and San Francisco – August 5, 2019 – TPG, a leading global alternative asset firm, announced today that David Tan will join the firm as Managing Director. David will be based in Singapore covering Southeast Asia and will work closely with Ganen Sarvananthan, Co-Managing Partner and Dominic Picone, Partner of TPG Capital Asia – the firm’s Asia-focused private equity platform.

David comes to TPG from KKR, where he served as a Director on the firm’s private equity team and worked at for over a decade in their Menlo Park, Hong Kong and Singapore offices.

Prior to joining KKR, David was with UBS Investment Bank in New York. He holds a B.A. from the College of Arts & Sciences, University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
